Original Mahogany Sculptures

From the beautiful jungles of the Dominican Republic are these hand carved mermaids that historians say lived once upon these islands. You can find these creatures lovingly posed on land or how they must have been in the sea. Flowing fins to the left and fins to the right chose your favorite Merlady and we shall deliver her to you with pleasure…

All sculptures are made from solid mahogany unless otherwise described. These lovely ladies are hand chiseled using primitive tools which makes each a very unique piece of art. No two sculptures look exactly alike.

This Merlady has a little spunk to her. We added a hat and a sarong to her. She stands 13 1/2 inches tall and weighs 1lbs. She has a veneer finish to her which brings out the mahogany in her. Click on her picture to see the detail.
