From the beautiful jungles of the Dominican Republic are these hand carved mermaids that historians say lived once upon these islands. You can find these creatures lovingly posed on land or how they must have been in the sea. All sculptures are made from solid mahogany unless otherwise noted. These lovely ladies are hand chiseled using primitive tools which make each very unique. No two sculptures look exactly alike.

Merlady lifting a bird so it may fly back to the island. She stands 36 inches tall and weighs 9 lbs. She is finished in a veneer and is very unique from the other Merladys. She has a distinctive two-tone appearance that enhances her beauty. A must see, click on her picture for a closer look.
