From the beautiful jungles of the Dominican Republic are these hand carved mermaids that historians say lived once upon these islands. You can find these creatures lovingly posed on land or how they must have been in the sea. All sculptures are made from solid mahogany unless otherwise noted. These lovely ladies are hand chiseled using primitive tools which make each very unique. No two sculptures look exactly alike.

Merlady holding her fin as she back dives is finished in a ebony veneer. She is 31 inches tall and weighs 8 lbs. This artist put great detail in her fin, click on her picture to see just how detailed it is.
